Hockey to return on 29/3/2021
The latest guidance from England Hockey is that hockey is set to return on Monday 29th March under similar guidance to Stage 4 rules from 2020.
AHC plan to offer hockey as follows:
Starting Monday 29th, normal Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday training for Adults and Juniors.
Starting Saturday 3rd April, normal Junior training and intra-club friendlies.
Subject to Government approval, we plan to offer friendly competition with local clubs from Saturday 10th April.
AHC will be continuing to adhere to our established COVID protocols and limitations - as we were doing before the latest lockdown. Please ensure you have Teamo running on your phone to allow you to register your availability and check in to the pitches.
Note that England Hockey have provided the following guidance on spectators:
No spectators are allowed at grassroots hockey as part of Step 1 of the Government Roadmap. The only exception is for safeguarding purposes, which should be limited to one parent or carer per child (under 18) or per disabled participant. Any parents or guardians in attendance should not mix with others from outside their household or support bubble.
AHC plan to continue training until Wednesday 26th May.
Note: Car sharing is not permitted unless all occupants are in the same support bubble or household

1. Guidance for Members
Please read these guidelines carefully, they are for the safety of everyone. The rules for social distancing (2m) remain in place for participants before and after any session. All spectators etc must maintain social distancing at all times and follow government advice regarding travel arrangements
England Hockey is using a 5 step Roadmap to Return to Play. On August 7, Stage 4 was reached, allowing Local Match Play – Intra club / local matches can happen but restrictions stop leagues / main competitions resuming. This Step also allows for Contact Training in groups of up to 30 per half of a pitch.
NOTE: For ANY matches at Amery Hill, a MAXIMUM of 30 people are allowed inside the caged area. This means for matches, a maximum of 15 people (including coach and umpire) per team.
EH will notify clubs when Step 5 Full Competitive Match Play can resume
